Quote from Zimmi :Great sounds !!!

by pressing "shift+a" I can't read exactly "engine sound", what do you mean?
There is no option which has the value "0.8"...

THX

I mean exhaust volume. Values I gave are just egzemples.
Sorry for confusing You.

Quote from BullHorn :I heard this too. I was told only when you set the powers in the Logitech profiler above 100, then the forces begin to work linearly.

And what about personal feelings?

Quote from Calvinaquino :I dont have a logitech. but i read somewhere on the forums that (i think theres a link in Jakg's sig) that says that the FFB only starts to work fine with a value of 101-105 or so.

im aware of that opinion, but my personal fellings are 21-25 percents lower than people got used to (ffstepnum 64 lfs ~50)

Quote from kaynd :Ι think that below the 100% force strength value, the driver damps the feedback "messages".
Try 100% from the drivers and 20-40% in game

i have just made some testing,
and i think, that logitech driver start to damps lower forces when set more than ~80%
...some kind of smoothing, no matter how i set ff in lfs

Another discovery?
logitech set to value somwhere around 70-80% improves bumps for dfp,
or its just my personal feeling( xfg so2 ffstep num 64 logitech 70% lfs 50%

Setting more than 100% of ff strenght in logitech profiler causes forces to oscilate around centre.(people used to set 101-110 to exaggerate low forces around centre, in my opinion it is a mess setup)

Instead im using LFS ff step num 64, logitech profiler 100%, and lfs 10-30%(depends on car im driving) it provides far more realistic fellings. Setting more than 30% in LFS and more than 100 in logitech gives too much countersteer to feel real!!

Furthermore i noticed, that its sometimes better when logitech and lfs have the same ff level(once again it depends on car), then i tune both, logitech and lfs somwhere around 20-60%.

Well You can tweak ff a bit...Setting more than 100% of ff strenght in logitech profiler causes forces to oscilate around centre.(people used to set 101-110 to exaggerate low forces around centre, in my opinion it is a mess setup)

I am still not satisfied with these sounds. I will spend some time on updating again, i found that there is part of skid sample that sounds better and that scrape soft sounds more realistic even for hard surfaces, much like a real steel car hitting another object like cone/ wall/car. And grass/dirt/sand still needs balancing a bit. Furthermore i can not use 100% dynamic loudness for skid medium and heavy, as they are too loud compared to road noise(which was maxed already).

I need help
Convering lfs-fraps-aimersoft-youtube costs me a lot of sound data loss!!!
How to avoid this??

Quote from PioneerLv :When comparing real sounds with yours, your sounds are a bit silenced from real.

Actually sound samples are louder than in previous sets, i used 100% dynamic loudness(always used 80% to avoid clipping).
They will never be the same as real onesl, and there is some strange volume ballancing in ingame preview i think that is because of converting from fraps to aimersoft and to youtube...

i found that ff step num is some kind of damping.

experimented a bit and find out, that theese settings works more real than any others:

for dfp driving force pro
900 degrees of rotation

ffstepnum: 64
lfs ff strenght 40

logitech overall ff strenght 40
dampers 0
springs 0
centering spring: unchecked and 0
